Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 10, 2026
1. Introduction
The Staika Foundation ("Foundation", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website at check.staika.io (the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
When you authenticate through the Service using a supported third-party provider (e.g., Google, or a Web3 wallet), we may receive basic profile information such as your email address or public wallet address as provided by that service.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
We may automatically collect certain technical data when you use the Service, including:
- IP address and general geographic region
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on the Service
- Referring URLs
This data is collected through standard web server logs and analytics tools (including Umami Analytics) solely for the purpose of improving the Service. Umami Analytics is a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics platform — it does not track individuals across sites or sell data.
2.3 Blockchain Data
The Service reads publicly available on-chain data associated with wallet addresses you provide. This data is inherently public and cannot be deleted or modified by the Staika Foundation.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- To display your on-chain activity records from the Staika ecosystem
- To authenticate your identity and manage sessions
- To monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security threats
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The Service uses session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Umami) does not use cookies.
You may configure your browser to refuse cookies; however, doing so may affect the functionality of certain features such as sign-in.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party authentication providers and reads from public blockchain networks. When you sign in using a third-party provider, that provider's privacy policy governs the data they share with us. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with the Service.
Our community platforms (Telegram, Discord, Medium) are operated independently and are subject to their own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
We retain session and authentication data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymized form and does not identify individual users.
On-chain data displayed through the Service is public and permanent by nature of the underlying blockchain infrastructure. The Staika Foundation has no ability to modify or delete such data.
7. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), server-side environment variable management for secrets, and access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to exercise caution when sharing information online.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your personal data (where legally permissible)
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through our official community channels listed below.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
